Wernick Family Dentistry has always focused their dental service towards customer care and works to improve standard services to enhance the patient’s experience. After testing the Zoom! Teeth whitening procedure on staff and a select number of patients, Dr. Wernick added his personal touch to the process.
One of the drawbacks to any teeth whitening system is that some patients may experience discomfort due to the ‘bleaching’ dehydrating the targeted teeth. Rather than potentially sending patients away with possible teeth sensitivities, Dr. Wernick will give patients a special toothpaste two weeks prior to treatment. This toothpaste will work to rehydrate the teeth before the dehydration process begins. It is a preventative measure to decrease or potentially erase sensitivities.
Another change made by Wernick Family Dentistry was to change the curing light to a LED light with three shade options, the newest updated strategy by Phillips (creators of Zoom!). The LED light doesn't heat up as quickly as the original curing light creating a more gentle approach to teeth whitening.
When the procedure is complete, patients are treated with a complimentary Fluoride treatment 15 minutes after the process is complete. This will help rehydrate the targeted teeth and decrease the chance of tooth sensitivity.
